Usually tightening the gas cap or replacing it may help fix the problem but where this did not work, then it is recommended you visit an automobile store or you take the vehicle in for servicing.

So is it safe to drive with VSC Light on?

Well, it depends on what the triggered the VSC light to come on.

If after checking you VSC system and the problem happen to be a O2 sensor related issue, you can still drive the vehicle for a while without further problems, but you might not be getting the right gas mileage.
